Position Summary

Responsible for supporting the Employee Benefits Department with proposal development activities and document control of all solicitation and proposal documents, templates and forms associated with proposal development and production.

Essential Functions:

  • Support and assist the development of Company goals, initiative and growth objectives.
  • Review RFPs (Request for Proposals) to understand and confirm group demographics, home zip code, smoking status and plan and carrier profiles, Broker/Agency instructions, Tax ID numbers, etc. Follow up with broker as required for missing or incomplete information.
  • Process RFPs to include new quotes, re-quotes, prescreens and ancillary. Process alternate requests for renewals.  Process individual quotes for comparison with group rates as requested.
  • Log all group quote activity into our agent benefit database.
  • Deliver standard quotes timely and accurately and track turnaround time.
  • Provide support to the Employee Benefits Department and serve as a project coordinator as needed.
  • Participate in all carrier product meetings and training to gain a base of product knowledge of all carriers served in order to make plan recommendations in alternative or re-quote process.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent work experience in data entry, customer service, insurance, banking, etc.

  • Strong interest in learning more about the Group Benefits Industry

Position Summary:

The Sales Support Assistant is responsible for supporting the Individual and Medicare Unit with detailed quoting and pre-sale research, and data entry as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Provide detailed quoting and pre-sale research in a timely manner to producers.
  • Updated tasks for all client/policy activity in AGB.
  • Group Benefits ARC staff.
  • Excellent communication skills: work/communicate well with team members and Group Benefits ARC staff.
  • Updated sold policies in AGB as needed.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 1-2 years data entry, customer service or insurance experience

Specific Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills needed
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong data entry and computer skills a must
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Multi-tasker
  • Good listener
  • Able to meet tight deadlines
